Guidelines for Reviewers

The Yearbook of the Mother Tongue Society is a peer-reviewed official publication of the Estonian Academy of Sciences (Eesti Teaduste Akadeemia).
It is open to authors from any country or scientific school.
Papers published in the Journal must meet certain criteria with regard to audience, technical content, and presentation.
The following form is designated to help reviewers to evaluate manuscripts. If revisions are recommended, reviewers should be as specific as possible in describing changes and should indicate which changes are recommended and which are obligatory. If a paper is rejected because it exceeds the scope of the journal, reviewers are requested to recommend that the paper be submitted elsewhere. If a paper is considered un-publishable, reviewers should reject it completely.
Please read the manuscript soon after receiving it and return the review as soon as possible (but not later than 4 weeks after receiving the paper). If you do not meet this term, other referees will be contacted immediately.

Note concerning Reviewer confidentiality. The editors of the Yeabook of the Mother Tongue Society never disclose the names of reviewers to authors except with the permission of the reviewer. Reviewers should regard a submitted manuscript as a confidential document. They should not use or disclose unpublished information in a manuscript except with the permission of author(s). Since there is no direct communication between author(s) and reviewer(s) about a manuscript, permission can only be obtained via the Editors.
