TRAMES is an official publication of the Estonian Academy of Sciences and the University of Tartu.
TRAMES (Lat. footpath) is an Estonian fully-refereed, internationally abstracted, English-language scholarly journal of the Humanities and Social Sciences. It is open to authors from any country and any scientific school. TRAMES will be the connecting footpath which allows free movement of thought between East and West. TRAMES is also a footpath towards a more open and free society as well as a mirror reflecting the social processes leading to such a society.
TRAMES publishes papers from a wide range of the humanities and social sciences with preference to papers with broader theoretical attitude and a possible interdisciplinary approach.
All paper submissions, accepted by the editorial board, will be refereed in a double-blind peer review process by at least two reviewers with expertise in the relevant subject area.
In recent years the rejection rate of TRAMES is 94%.
In the Estonian Research Information System administered by the Estonian Research Council, the TRAMES is classified under category 1.1.
From January 2022, by submitting manuscripts to the TRAMES, the authors agree that the article, if accepted and published, will become licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International license (CC BY 4.0). The copyright © belongs to the author(s).
