Copyright and Licensing Policy
The Proceedings of the Estonian Academy of Sciences is an open access journal and applies the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International License CC BY-NC to all its papers (http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0/).
No transfer of copyright is necessary in order to publish a paper in the journal. The authors (or the holder of the authors’ copyright) retain the full rights over their work.
By submitting manuscripts the authors agree that the article, if accepted and published, will become licensed under CC BY-NC 4.0. This allows anyone to read, print, download, copy, and redistribute the material in any medium or format for private use, as well as text and data mine the articles for non-commercial purposes, as long as the original authors and source are cited. In doing so, no permission is required from the publishers. For full details on Creative Commons licensing conditions check http://creativecommons.org.
The repositories of universities and other scientific institutions are allowed to redistribute and display the articles for non-commercial purposes.
If any illustration or table is reproduced from a journal article, permission should be obtained from the copyright holder. A suitable acknowledgement of any borrowed material should always be made.
For any reuse or redistribution of an article, users should also make clear the license terms under which the work was published.
