Problems of spontaneous combustion of Dictyonema argillites in the Northwest of Estonia are discussed for the first time. Chemical activity of argillites for oxygen has been determined using a method worked out at the A. A. Skotchinskii Mining Institute. The results demonstrated their high tendency to self-ignition. |
