Abstract

Tänapäevastelt elektrimasinatelt nõutakse, et nad oleksid võimalikult energiaefektiivsed, mugavalt süsteemiga integreeritavad ning väikesed, sobimaks mobiilsetes seadmetes kasutamiseks. See on tekitanud vajaduse elektrimasinate arenduses otsida uusi ja võimalikult soodsaid tootmisvõimalusi. 3D-printerite turule tulek on andnud võimaluse innovaatiliste väikeseeriatoodete arenguks. Tänu lühematele tarneahelatele ja kiiremale väljatöötamisajale on võimalik 3D-printimise abil kiirelt ja odavalt toota prototüüpseadmeid. Tegemist on suhteliselt uue tehnoloogiaga, mis võimaldab otseste tööriistadeta toota seadmete komponente või terveid koosteid otse CAD- (Computer-aided design – toim) failist. Praegu ei ole see lähenemine tööstuslikult eriti laialdaselt kasutusel, kuid on muutumas üha populaarsemaks. See on ka viinud vajaduseni töötada välja sellised elektrimasinate lahendused, mille tootmiseks oleks otstarbekas kasutada 3D-printerit.
