In connection with the war in Ukraine, the Estonian Academy Publishers temporarily suspends processing manuscripts of authors affiliated in the institutions of the Russian Federation and Republic of Belarus, except for submissions to Linguistica Uralica.

The Estonian Journal of Archaeology is an international open access journal of the Estonian Academy of Sciences published in collaboration with the Institute of History and Archaeology at the University of Tartu and Archaeological Research Collection of Tallinn University.
The first issue of the Estonian Journal of Archaeology was published in 1997.
The journal publishes primary research and review papers in the English and German languages. All articles are provided with short Estonian summaries.
All papers to be published in the journal are peer reviewed internationally.
The journal is open for publications in all fields of archaeology having certain connection with our part of the world, North Europe and the Baltic area in particular.
In the Estonian Research Information System administered by the Estonian Research Council, the Estonian Journal of Archaeology is classified under category 1.1.
From January 2022, by submitting manuscripts to the Estonian Journal of Archaeology, the authors agree that the article, if accepted and published, will become licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International license (CC BY 4.0).
The journal is published biannually. Articles are published online on an ongoing bases.
